This guide focuses on navigating the AI Legal Assistant application to review, analyse, and understand non-standard clauses.

  1. Click “Review”

2. Select “Non Standard Clauses”

Click what you would like to review; you can choose from Ambiguities, Conflicting Terms, Find Placeholders, Inconsistencies, Missing Clauses, Complex Language, Points to Negotiate, and Undefined Terms.

In this case, we will select ‘Non-Standard Clauses’.

3. Click “Analyse”

4. Here it appears that on clause 4.3, “the independent expert as an expert rather than an arbitrator” is non-standard. It indicates a unique dispute resolution method outside typical arbitration.

5. Another example, “the Seller hereby represents and warrants to the Buyer that there has been no Leakage” is non-standard in clause 7.1.

6. Another one, “the Seller indemnifies the Buyer in respect of any Leakage that occurs after the Locked Box Accounts Date until Completion” is also non-standard in clause 7.2.

7. Click “Copy text”

If you wish to copy the results, just click the “Copy” button, then paste it into a notepad, email or anywhere else.

8. Click “Make task”

You can also create a task by clicking “Make task.”

9. Click “Tasks”

To review your tasks, simply navigate to “Tasks”.

10. Click “Non Standard Clauses task”

Select the task related to non-standard clauses.

11. Click “Complete task”

Once you’ve finished the task, you can easily mark it as completed.

12. You also have the option to delete the task, edit it, mark it as a priority, or you can choose to delegate it to someone else on your team.

13. If you wish to provide a rating, you can do so by clicking on this button.

14. Rate by assigning stars, add a comment, then submit.

Rate by assigning stars, add a comment, then submit. Each rating you send will add credit to your account for future use on other reviews.

15. Click “Close tile”

And if you’d like to close the results, just click on the “Close tile”
